Degree Programs in Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy
Internationally recognized and accredited degree programs offered by Hungarian State Universities

Medicine
English language programs in Medicine are offered at Semmelweis University, University of Pecs, and University of Szeged. The 6-year International Degree Programs in Medicine at all three universities lead to the Doctor of Medicine degree, with a diploma awarded in English, Hungarian, and Latin languages.

All three Universities are accredited by the Hungarian Accreditation Board, their degrees are recognized worldwide, and they are listed in WHO’s World Directory of Medical Schools.

Graduates of all three Universities qualify for automatic licensing in the European Union without any further licensing examination requirement.

Graduates of all three Universities are eligible to sit for the Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Examination.

Graduates of all three universities are eligible to sit for the USMLE. Furthermore, all three Universities are recognized by the Medical Board of California, allowing graduates to take part in postgraduate training programs and become licensed in California. American citizens/permanent residents and Canadian citizens who have an undergraduate degree from an accredited American College or University are eligible to apply for the Fifth Pathway Program.

Dentistry

Graduates of all three Universities are eligible to take the Eligibility Examination administered by the Commission of Dental Accreditation of Canada.

Graduates of all three Universities are eligible to take the National Board Dental Examinations administered by the American Dental Association.

English language programs in Pharmacy are offered at Semmelweis University and at University of Szeged. The 5-year International Degree Programs in Pharmacy at both universities lead to the Master of Science in Pharmacy degree, with a diploma awarded in English, Hungarian, and Latin languages.

Both Universities are accredited by the Hungarian Accreditation Board, and their degrees are recognized worldwide.

Graduates of both Universities qualify for automatic licensing in the European Union without any further licensing examination requirement.

Graduates of both Universities who are Canadian citizens or landed immigrants may be eligible to write the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada Evaluating Examination.

Graduates of both Universities who are American citizens are eligible to sit for the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination.
