Pending proof of relevant and adequate academic background, Semmelweis University, the University of Szeged, the University of Pecs, and the University of Veterinary Medicine, may waive the entrance examination requirement. While decisions are made by each University on a case-by-case basis.
The Universities look to the representative (GGE in North America) to do a preliminary assessment of the Applicant’s basis for requesting exemption from the entrance examination. It is advisable that Applicants follow the recommendations of the representative, as efforts to get out of the exam without sufficient basis for exemption may work against the Applicant.
Since the Universities recruit their applicants worldwide, and high school graduation requirements differ from country to country, graduating from high school does not qualify an applicant for exemption from the entrance examination - even if it is with high marks or at the AP level.
